A Beautiful Second Chapter

I’ve always been ambitious—a hardworking corporate professional who thrived on building, achieving, and pushing forward. But over time, I started to feel disconnected from the things that once energized me. The pace, the pressure, and the constant pursuit of “more” left little room for creativity, beauty, or joy.

In January 2024, everything shifted.

During a visit with my father, who was living with late-stage dementia at the time, I was confronted with a painful but clarifying reality: life is fragile, time moves quickly, and the things we postpone often matter most. After his passing, that realization became impossible to ignore. It forced me to reevaluate how I wanted to spend my time, what kind of work felt meaningful, and what I wanted to create in this chapter of my life.

The answer was something that had quietly followed me for years—art and pastry.

From a young age, I was drawn to beautiful details, design, and the artistry of food. I was fortunate to study under some of the best, including renowned French Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier. Combined with my culinary training and degree from the University of Maryland, those experiences became the foundation for what would eventually become Decadent & Dainty.

In spring 2024, Decadent & Dainty was born with a simple vision: to create pastries that feel as beautiful as they taste. Every floral cupcake is designed to bring together artistry, elegance, and genuine craftsmanship—turning dessert into something memorable and deeply personal.

Building this business has taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of creating a life aligned with what truly matters. Decadent & Dainty is more than a pastry company to me—it’s a reminder that it’s never too late to begin again, pursue something meaningful, and create beauty worth sharing.
